Study on the Research of Response Characteristic Collage of Adolescent Depression

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the difference by form analysis and content analysis after performing a collage to depressed adolescent and non-depressed adolescent. For the purpose, to prove a collage have discrimination as a tool to measure adolescent's depression. Subject of study were 68 students who got more than 17 in BDI test results 500 students from first, second, and third grade 6 classes in two middle schools at Gyeonggi-do. Result of study have shown First, collage of depressed adolescent was not balanced nor arranged well. In other words, more than half of depressed adolescent put 1¡­5 pieces of tiny photo scrap. Also 69% of depressed adolescent put photo scrap at long intervals. And non-depressed adolescent appears to put more korean letters, depressed adolescent's collage work tend to be center, bottom sided. Second, it was appeared that there's a difference between depressed adolescent and non-depressed adolescent in details of expression. Depressed adolescent express less about human, but more about food and abstract concepts. This research through systematic processed collage can provide basic data for a follow up study after get the point of collage characteristic expression after analysis of form expression and content expression. Therefore, it affect positively to future psychological diagnosis through collage, and anticipate the possibility of practical use as helpful assistive device to early detection, proper treatment and precautionary approach.
